Types of Toenail Fungus!

Basically the toenail fungus is caused due to the fungal infection that may sometimes affect the fingernails. This fungal infection is basically known as Onychomycosis. In this the infection occurs only on the outer surface of the nail. This infection can be easily treated its symptoms are discoloration of the nail to white, deformed, dry and crumbly nail.

Proximal Subungual Onychomycosis is the third type of nail fungus that are caused due to Trichophyton rubrum organism. Its symptom is discoloration of nail to white or yellow close to the cuticle.

Candida Albicans is fourth type of nail fungus, its symptoms is nail plates turn to yellow green color and the folding nails become inflamed, swollen and painful.
